The same cherry blossom tree Jack showed Ashi in Episode XCVI.Īshi and her six sisters were birthed from the High Priestess, the leader of an all-female cult of Aku, and raised as assassins to do what no other warriors could do: kill Samurai Jack. She is with Jack in the final scene watching the horizon under the cherry blossom tree in a world free from Aku. Her character is given an alternate ending in the game, Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time, as she's still married to Jack and doesn't fade away from existence. In Episode CI, she used her powers as a cambion to help transport Jack back to the past to defeat Aku but faded from existence on the day of her wedding to Jack as a consequence of past Aku's death. Eventually, after meeting Aku in person in Episode C, it is revealed that Aku was her biological father, after which he corrupts her unwillingly into his service. She served as Jack's most important ally in Season 5, in Episode XCIX she and Jack eventually fall in love. She finally made a full turn-around when Jack showed her the destruction Aku has unleashed on the world and she saw all the good that the Samurai had done. It was only later that she came to have doubts about Aku's true nature after Jack saves her life. She later became the only surviving member and unwillingly accompany Jack. She was born and raised as a member of the Daughters of Aku, seven sisters who served as assassins attempting to kill Jack. They are also known as the Daughters of Aku.Scaramouche (for a moment) Ashi is the deuteragonist during Season 5 of Samurai Jack.Ashi and her sisters have been raised with the false belief that Aku created the world, which may be true of the rest of the Cult as well.Furthermore, after bestowing them a portion of his essence, Aku addresses the Cult as "Daughters of Aku" when he permits them to worship him.It is revealed in episode C that Aku did indeed visit the cult once, and gave them a portion of himself as a "blessing".As Aku seemingly entered into a depressed semi-reclusion some time in the last 50 years and takes little notice of the cult, it seems that his absence might have inspired reactionaries. It is unknown why the cult worships a demonic entity like Aku. The cult is a strange phenomenon in the Samurai Jack world since almost everyone in the world and the universe fear, hate and despise Aku due to his massive cruelty, brutality and tyranny.Daughters of Aku (all deceased, formerly including Ashi).Several other adult female members (deceased). It is presumed that with the past Aku's destruction, this cult ceases to exist in the future after Jack and Ashi altered the timeline. Towards the end of their training, the Daughters of Aku were made to kill most of the cult as a test of their skills. Even Aku himself was surprised when he accurately figured out of what had happened. The High Priestess drank the entire chalice and thus became impregnated with human-demon hybrid septuplets. Aku decided to "bless" them by dripping a portion of himself into a chalice. When Aku first visited the coven in their temple, he was impressed by the statue they had constructed in his likeness. Not much is known about how the cult was started, but due to their devotion to Aku, they despise Jack just as much as he does. They also wear headdresses that resemble Aku's horns. All of the members wear black cloaks with identical white masks concealing their faces.
